Although I can’t say that purple is my favorite color, I will say that it is one of those colors that when I see it, I just want to pick it up. I like that there are so many shades of purple and you can always find a shade that you prefer.

Yarn
As I was looking for purple yarn, I was hoping to get an Amethyst color. Searching the web, I was surprised to find out that our local Hobby Lobby Store had Amethyst Color in I Love This Yarn. I was so happy that all I had to do was drive there and pick it up. This gave me the opportunity to look around and see other shades of purple that I would have used but in the end, the Amethyst color won.

I used I Love This Yarn 100% Acrylic in Amethyst. I can’t believe how soft this yarn is. The scarf came out better than I expected, feeling soft, warm, and cozy. I am happy that I made it wide so that I can cover myself when it gets chilly..
I decide to use a lace pattern since although the yarn is medium weight, it is on the thicker side. With the warmer weather coming, I wanted something that I can use this spring and even summer and not have to wait till winter to use it.
Comparable yarns to I Love This Yarn include Premier Yarns Anti-Pilling Everyday Worsted, Mary Maxim Starlette, Herrschners Worsted Weight, Yarn Bee Sugarwheel, and Deramores Studio Aran.
