Yarn

For this scarf, I used Hobby Lobby’s Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek which is a medium-weight yarn (also known as worsted weight). It's a great choice because it's widely available, comes in a variety of colors, and is easy to work with. Plus, it's perfect for keeping you cozy on those chilly days.

Sometimes it is hard to find the exact yarn used. If you can’t find this yarn you can use Bernat Premium, Caron Simply Soft, Mary Maxim Aran Irish Twist, Universal Yarn Uptown Worsted, Mary Maxim Starlette, and Herrschners Worsted Weight.

If unable to find any of these yarns, use any worsted-weight yarn.

Design

This warm hug scarf is worked lengthwise. This makes it easy for the scarf to be worked quickly as there are fewer rows to make.

The pattern combines simple stitches and chains to create a visually appealing texture. The scarf incorporates basic stitches like single crochet, half double crochet, and chains, but you will also need to know how to make a half double crochet back loop only and a half double crochet front loop only..

Counting stitches is key to maintaining a consistent width throughout your scarf. You'll want to double-check your stitch count at the end of each row to ensure that you're on track.
