Moss Stitch Square

Inspiration

Moss Crochet stitch is one of my favorite stitches. I have designed and crocheted several of my patterns using the moss stitch and loved it. What do I love about moss stitch, you may ask. I love moss stitch because of its texture, it is easy to make, and works out real first. I love that I do not have to pay too much attention and carry patterns around as it is a one-row repeat. I just put on my favorite movie and let my hands do the work.

I am so happy to share with you my moss stitch square pattern that is part of the Poncho CAL hosted by RaeLynn of Itchin' for some Stitchin'. In this Poncho CAL, a different square pattern is shared daily. RaeLynn has crocheted all these squares and made a poncho. Below are the steps to getting either the featured square or the bundle.

See below for the finished poncho.

Yarn

I used Caron Simply Soft 100% Acrylic 315 yds (288 m), 6 oz (170 g) in Watermelon or Robin Egg. I have designed and made both knit and crochet projects using Caron Simply Soft and I enjoyed using it. Sometimes it is not possible to get the exact yarn used and therefore these are some comparable yarns you can use.
