Crochet Double Thick Potholder Pattern Free
Ch (47, 51)
Round 1: Using Color A, 2 hdc in 3rd ch from hook, * sk ch-1, 2 hdc in next ch, rep from * to end, do not turn, change to Color B and continue on the opposite side of the foundation ch, * 2 hdc in opposite side where the last worked st was placed, sk ch-1, working your sts in the same ch as the sts worked on the opposite side to the end (46, 50 hdc sets).
Round 2: Using Color B * 2 hdc in each st to end, leave Color B hanging & attach Color A (46, 50 hdc sets).
Round 3: Using Color A, * 2 hdc in each st to end, leave Color A hanging & attach Color B (46, 50 hdc sets).
Rounds 4-24: rep rounds 2 & 3
Fasten off.
Row 25: Using Color B and the potholder laying flat, count the sts and attach yarn in the middle. Hdc in each st to halfway on the opposite side, so that you have the same number of worked and unworked sts.
Fasten off leaving long yarn enough to sew the side together.
Finishing off
Fold the edges inwards towards the center as a triangle.
This will form a square
Sew the edges together
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Hanging Chain
