Why a Lacy Crochet Cardigan Pattern for Women?

Cardigans are one of the most versatile garments you can make. They transition beautifully from season to season, they layer well with almost anything, and they offer that little bit of extra warmth without being too heavy. For this design, I aimed for something light, feminine, and versatile for year-round wear.

The lace stitch of this free crochet cardigan pattern has a delicate, airy appearance while remaining sturdy enough for everyday wear. Think of it as the perfect mix between comfort and elegance – just the kind of piece you’ll want to grab whenever you’re heading out the door.

And here’s the best part: even though it looks intricate, the stitches are simple and repetitive, which makes this crochet cardigan design very approachable for adventurous beginners and relaxing for experienced crocheters.

The PDF includes the complete written instructions, clear sizing details, and helpful tips to guide you along the way.

When choosing yarn for this crochet cardigan pattern, consider the weight and texture that best suits your style. A weight 4 yarn can provide the softness and drape that enhances the cardigan’s femininity. This ensures that the cardigan remains light, perfect for layering or wearing on its own no matter the season.

    Yarn Choice and Weight

For this crochet cardigan pattern for women, I used Lion Brand Anti-pilling 100% Acrylic yarn, which is a medium-weight (weight 4) yarn. This type of yarn is often referred to as worsted weight, and it’s one of the most popular and widely available yarns out there. Using weight 4 yarn gives the cardigan a soft drape and just the right amount of thickness.

You don’t need to worry about the cardigan being too heavy or too stiff – the lace stitch balances everything out, so the finished piece is lightweight enough for warmer months but still cozy when you need it.

Another advantage of weight 4 yarn? It comes in so many colors, fibers, and brands. You can easily choose a 100% cotton yarn for summer wear, an acrylic yarn for affordability and easy care, or a wool blend for extra warmth in cooler months.

Substitute for Lion Brand Basic Stitch Anti-pilling yarn include but is not limited to Cascade Yarns Anthem, Caron Simply Soft, Yarn Bee Soft and Sleek, Bernat Premium, Herrschner’s Worsted Weight, and Mary Maxim Aran Irish Twist

This pattern is perfect for crafters looking to enhance their skills while creating a beautiful piece that can be worn throughout the year. By following the detailed instructions, you’ll be able to make a stunning cardigan that you’ll love wearing.

    Sizing from XS–5X

With its inclusive sizing options spanning from XS to L, this crochet cardigan pattern ensures that everyone can enjoy its stylish look. Each size is designed with comfort in mind, allowing for a flattering fit no matter your body shape.

One of my biggest goals when designing wearables is inclusivity. This cardigan is written in nine sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X, 4X, and 5X) so that every maker can find the perfect fit.

Each size has been carefully calculated with measurements to ensure that the finished cardigan feels comfortable and flattering. No matter your body shape or style, this crochet cardigan pattern for women has been designed with you in mind.

I’ve also included guidance on how to make adjustments if you prefer your cardigan a little longer, shorter, or looser. After all, one of the joys of crochet is customizing your garment exactly how you like it.

The lacy design of this crochet cardigan allows for breathability, making it suitable for warm weather while still being cozy for cooler evenings. Layer it over a cute top or dress for a fashionable finish. It truly embodies versatility, ensuring it fits seamlessly into your wardrobe.

What You’ll Love About This Crochet Cardigan Pattern

Let’s break down the highlights of this pattern so you know exactly what makes it special:

    • Inclusive Sizing: XS–5X ensures it’s accessible to everyone.
    • Lacy but Cozy: The lace stitches create a breathable fabric that drapes beautifully.
    • Easy to Make: Simple, repeating stitches mean you can relax while crocheting.
    • Versatile Design: Dress it up with a skirt and blouse, or keep it casual with jeans.
    • All-Season Wear: Light enough for summer, layer-friendly for winter.

Construction and Design – Crochet Cardigan Pattern for Women

This free crochet cardigan pattern is constructed in 3 panels (back and two fronts) and sleeves, then seamed together, which makes it easy to adjust. If you’ve ever made a simple rectangle in crochet, you’ll feel right at home with this pattern.

The stitch pattern features an elegant crochet lace cardigan design that looks detailed but is actually straightforward once you get into the rhythm. It’s one of those projects you can work on while catching up on your favorite show or chatting with friends.

The cardigan also includes ribbed edging around the sleeves and body to give it that polished, finished look. It’s a small detail that really elevates the design and makes it look store-bought while still being handmade.

Styling Ideas – Crochet Cardigan Pattern for Women

This cardigan is designed to be incredibly versatile. Here are a few ways you can style it:

    • Everyday Chic: Pair it with jeans and a simple tank top for a casual yet put-together look.
    • Office-Ready: Layer it over a blouse and tailored pants for a lightweight professional outfit.
    • Beach Vibes: Wear it as a swimsuit cover-up for a breezy summer day.

    Tips for Success

    • Swatch First: Make a gauge swatch before starting so your cardigan comes out the right size.
    • Choose the Right Yarn: A yarn with good drape (like cotton or cotton blends) will make the lace look its best.
    • Block Your Cardigan: Blocking really opens up the lace stitches and gives your cardigan that polished finish.
    • Take Your Time with Seaming: A neat seam makes a big difference in how your cardigan looks and feels.

    Notes

    • The pattern uses Standard US Terms
    • Ch 3 at the beginning of the row counts as a st, therefore the st is made in the 2nd st
    • Ch 1 and ch 2 at the beginning of the row do not count as a st, therefore make the first sc in 1st st
    • For sleeves dec rows, only sts on each side of the pattern will be counted since the dec does not affect the pattern
    • On dec rows, sts will be reduced on each end of the row, and everything else will remain the same; therefore, only the remaining sts will be indicated and not the whole pattern sts.
    • Dec one st on each side of the sleeve by dc2tog after ch 3 st (at the beginning of the row) and dc2tog before the last st (at the end of the row).

What to Look for in a Crochet Beach Cover Up Pattern

When browsing through crochet beach cover up patterns, consider the following tips to help you choose the right project for your needs:

    1. Yarn Selection Lightweight, breathable yarns such as cotton, bamboo, and linen are ideal for a crochet swimsuit cover up. These natural fibers allow airflow and dry quickly—great for humid days and poolside wear.
    2. Stitch Style Look for openwork or lacy stitch patterns. Mesh stitches, granny designs, and filet crochet all work beautifully, giving your cover-up that airy, beachy vibe.
    3. Fit and Construction Determine whether you prefer a relaxed fit, a style with sleeves, or an adjustable design, such as a wrap or drawstring dress. Many of these crochet beach cover up patterns are beginner-friendly and come with clear instructions and size inclusivity.
    4. Length & Style You can go long and flowy for full coverage or short and sassy for a quick throw-on layer. Add fringe, tassels, or color blocking for even more flair!

The Inspiration Behind Design – The Orchid Crochet Cardigan Pattern

    About the Construction

The Orchid Cardigan Cardigan Pattern is constructed in seven separate pieces: one back panel, two front panels, two sleeves, and two pocket pieces

Each piece is worked flat in rows. Once all five components are completed, they are sewn together in the following order:

    1. Shoulder seams are joined first to connect the front and back panels.
    2. Sleeves are then sewn onto the armholes using a whip stitch or mattress stitch, depending on your preferred seaming method.
    3. Side seams are joined from the sleeve cuff to the hemline of the body for a seamless finish.
    4. Finally, the two pocket pieces are attached to the front panels, seamlessly integrating them into the design.
    1. Front bands are crocheted directly onto the body after the assembly.

Blocking Process for Orchid Crochet Cardigan Pattern

To ensure your Orchid Crochet Cardigan achieves its intended shape, drape, and the measurements outlined in the pattern, blocking is a crucial final step. After all pieces are crocheted, gently wet block or use your preferred method of blocking. Check for alternative blocking methods

    • Soak the pieces in lukewarm water with a mild detergent (if desired), carefully squeeze out excess water (do not wring).
    • Lay the garment flat on a blocking mat or clean towel.
    • Shape all parts—especially edges, sleeves, and the front opening—to match the given measurements.
    • Allow to dry completely before wearing.

All listed measurements are taken after blocking. This step helps smooth out the fabric, even the stitches, and ensure consistent sizing across all parts.

    Yarn Recommendation

I used Yarn Bee Simply Flawless, which is a worsted-weight yarn. The yarn is soft, warm, and easy to work with. I love the yarn mostly because of its low-pill feature, making it incredibly durable and resistant to fuzzy wear, perfect for everyday use. I have washed the cardigan several times, and it still looks great.

If you can’t find this yarn, some alternatives are Yarn Bee Chromatic Spectrum, Yarn Bee Pearlspun, Yarnart Adore Dream, Ice Yarns Anti-Pilling Baby, Lion Brand Mandala Gradient, and Lion Brand Jeans.

This kids’ crochet cardigan is a timeless addition to any child’s wardrobe. It features a relaxed fit and delightful textured details that make it both comfortable and fashionable. Imagine the joy on your little one’s face as they slip into this cozy crochet cardigan, perfect for layering over dresses, pairing with jeans, or throwing on for chilly evenings at home. The classic design ensures it will be a cherished piece for years to come.

Whether your child is getting dressed up for a family event, heading to school, playing or just relaxing at home, this cardigan is the ideal layering piece. It adds a cozy touch to any outfit and keeps your child snug in cooler weather.

The beauty of this pattern lies in its customizability—you can easily adapt it by experimenting with yarn colors, adding unique buttons, or even incorporating fun accents like pockets or patches to make the cardigan as unique as the child who will wear it.

Perfect for Crocheters of All Levels

The Joy of Handmade Clothing for Kids

There’s something incredibly special about creating handmade garments, especially for children. Each stitch represents time, care, and love, making the finished product much more meaningful than any store-bought piece. Handmade garments often become cherished keepsakes, passed down from one child to the next, or even across generations.

Kids who wear handmade items tend to appreciate the uniqueness of their clothes, as well as the time and effort that went into making them. They also benefit from the comfort and warmth that only a handmade piece can provide. When you crochet a cardigan for a special child in your life, you’re giving them more than just a piece of clothing—you’re gifting them something filled with sentiment and love that can last for years to come.

This cardigan is part of the Awesome Autumn Blog Hop hosted by Melena of Straight Hooked. The event features 30 crochet patterns from different designers, with a new pattern unveiled daily. There is a mix of patterns, with some patterns offered for free while others are 50% off.

    Yarn

Yarn Choice :Why Use Weight 5 Yarn?

For this project, I chose weight 5 yarn, also known as bulky yarn. Why bulky yarn? It’s the perfect combination of warmth, comfort, and speed. If you’re like me and enjoy seeing your projects come together quickly, you’ll appreciate how fast this cardigan takes shape. Chunky yarn works up much faster than lighter-weight yarns, making it ideal for those who want to create something beautiful in a shorter amount of time.

Weight 5 yarn is also soft and plush, providing the kind of coziness we all look for in a cardigan, especially in cooler weather. It holds its shape well, ensuring that the cardigan maintains its structure without feeling stiff. Additionally, this yarn adds beautiful texture to your stitches, making the cardigan functional and visually appealing.

    IMG 5936

Choosing this type of yarn means you’re creating a durable, long-lasting garment that will stay looking great through countless wears and washes. Plus, the tactile feel of the chunky yarn adds an extra level of comfort that kids will love.

    Yarn Substitution

This cardigan uses Premier Bloom Chunky Big Self-Striping Floral Print Yarn.

If you can’t find this yarn, use your favorite weight 5 yarn. The best alternatives to this yarn, include Premier Yarns Canyon Colors, Lion Brand Mandala Expressions, Hobbii Amigo Chunky, Loops & Threads Charisma, or Bernat Softee Chunky.

    Crochet Children Construction

This cardigan is made by constructing individual pieces that are sewn together at the end. The five main components are the back panel, two front panels, and two sleeves. Once these pieces are completed, they are sewn together to form the cardigan. After assembly, the front ribbing and lower ribbing are crocheted directly onto the cardigan for a polished, finished look.

    Step-by-Step Construction

    1. Back Panel
Begin by crocheting the back panel. This will be the largest piece and provide the main structure of the cardigan. The panel is worked from the bottom up, Once complete, fasten off and set the piece aside.

    2. Front Panels (Left and Right)
The front panels are worked separately, one for each side of the cardigan. Each front panel will be slightly narrower than the back panel and will have the neckline shaping. After finishing both front panels, fasten off and set them aside.

    3. Sleeves (Left and Right)
Next, crochet the two sleeves. Each sleeve is worked in rows, from the cuff upwards toward the shoulder. Once you reach the required length for each sleeve, fasten off and set them aside.

    4. Seaming the Pieces
After you have completed all five main pieces (back panel, front panels, and sleeves), it’s time to assemble the cardigan.

      • First, sew the front panels to the back panel at the shoulders.

      • Next, attach the sleeves to the armholes.

      • Finally, sew the side seams and the underarm seams to complete the body of the cardigan.

    5. Adding the Front Ribbing
Once the cardigan is fully assembled, you will add the front ribbing. Start at the bottom corner of one front panel and work your way up along the front edge, around the neckline, and back down the other front panel. The ribbing is worked in rows using a simple ribbed stitch pattern, such as single crochet or half-double crochet, to create a neat and stretchy edging.

    6. Adding the Lower Ribbing
Finally, crochet the lower ribbing directly onto the bottom edge of the cardigan. This will help give the cardigan a finished look and provide additional structure. Like the front ribbing, the lower ribbing is worked in rows using a ribbed stitch pattern.

    1. Once the ribbing is complete, weave in any remaining ends, and your cardigan is ready!

    Essential Tips for Cardigan Success

To ensure your cardigan turns out just right, keep these essential tips in mind:

    1. Gauge is Key: Always check your gauge before starting your project. This ensures your cardigan will fit as intended and match the pattern dimensions.

    2. Choose the Right Yarn: Match your yarn to the pattern’s recommendations to achieve the correct drape and texture.

    3. Take Accurate Measurements: Measure yourself carefully, especially around the bust, shoulders, and hips, to ensure a good fit.

    4. Block Your Pieces: Blocking helps even out stitches and gives your cardigan a professional finish.

    5. Seaming and Finishing: Take your time with seaming and finishing touches like adding buttons, pockets, or edging to ensure your cardigan looks polished.

    Yarn

I used Red Heart Soft yarn 100% Acrylic, a worsted-weight yarn (4). I have used the yarn before but this is the first time I am using it to make a garment. So far I love the results as the cardigan is soft, warm, and cozy. I look forward to using this yarn again.

    eas crochet tops patterns

    Best Modern Crochet Top Patterns

Summer is the perfect time to show off your crochet summer tops and add some stylish new look to your wardrobe. That is why I have assembled and am sharing this incredible collection of 36 best crochet summer top patterns that cater to every taste and skill level. This collection features a mix of free and paid patterns from talented designers around the world, offering a wide range of styles tops from casual tanks to elegant blouses.

    How to Crochet a Top

Creating crochet tank tops, blouses, shirts, tees, or crop tops starts with selecting a pattern that matches your style and skill level. If using a pattern, the pattern will guide you through each step, including which stitches to use and how to assemble the top.

Common steps involve making a gauge swatch, crocheting the front and back panels, and joining them together. Some patterns may also include instructions for adding sleeves or decorative details.

Some patterns might also include instructions for adding sleeves or embellishments.

Best Stitches for Crochet Summer Tops

The best stitches for crocheting summer tops are lightweight stitches like double crochet (dc), half double crochet (hdc), and various lace stitches. These stitches create breathable fabric with enough structure to maintain the garment’s shape. Consider using mesh or shell stitches for a more open and airy design.

    Taking Your Body Measurements

Accurate body measurements are crucial for achieving a perfect fit. Measure your bust, waist, and hips, and note the length you prefer for your top. Use a flexible tape measure and ensure it is snug but not tight. Compare your measurements to the sizing chart provided in the pattern to select the correct size.

Best Yarn for Summer Crochet Tops

Choosing the right yarn is crucial for creating a comfortable and wearable summer top. Here are some recommendations for each weight category:

    • Lace Weight: Ideal for delicate, airy tops. Look for lightweight yarns like cotton or linen blends for excellent drape and breathability.

    • Fingering Weight: Great for lightweight and slightly more structured tops. Cotton and bamboo blends offer softness and durability.

    • Sport Weight: Perfect for tops with a bit more substance without being too heavy. Consider cotton, bamboo, or silk blends for a smooth finish and good stitch definition.

    • DK Weight: Suitable for tops that provide a little more warmth, ideal for cooler summer evenings. Cotton, linen, or blends with bamboo or silk work well.

    • Worsted Weight: Less common for summer tops but can be used for looser, more open designs. Opt for cotton or linen to ensure breathability.

    Choosing the Right Hook

The right hook size is essential for achieving the correct gauge, fabric texture, and exact finished measurements. Most patterns recommend a specific hook size, but you may need to adjust the hook size based on your tension. If your stitches are too tight, try a larger hook; if they’re too loose, go down a size.

    Achieving a Perfect Fit

Creating a gauge swatch before starting your project is essential for achieving the correct fit. This helps you adjust your hook size if your gauge differs from the pattern. You can also modify the pattern by adding or subtracting stitches or rows to better match your measurements. Trying on your top as you go allows you to make adjustments as needed.

    Materials and Supplies Needed

For crocheting a summer top, you’ll need:

    • Yarn: Choose a lightweight, breathable yarn suitable for summer wear.

    • Crochet hook: Select the size recommended by your pattern or adjust based on your gauge swatch.

    • Stitch markers: Useful for marking your place and keeping track of stitch counts.

    • Tapestry needle: For weaving in ends and sewing pieces together.

    • Scissors: For cutting yarn.

    • Tape Measure: For taking measurements

How Much Time Does It Take to Crochet a Top?

The time it takes to crochet a top varies based on the pattern’s complexity, your skill level, how fast you crochet, and the time you can dedicate to the project. Simple tank tops or crop tops can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days, while more intricate designs with detailed stitches and patterns may take a week or more.

    Different Types of Tops

This roundup includes a variety of summer top styles:

    • Tank Tops: Sleeveless and perfect for hot days.

    • Crop Tops: Short and trendy, great for layering.

    • Tees: Casual and comfortable, with short or cap sleeves.

    • Halter Tops: Stylish and open-backed, ideal for beach outings.

    • Blouses: Elegant and slightly more formal, suitable for various occasions.

    Beginner Tips for Crocheting Tops

If you’re new to crocheting tops, start with simpler patterns that use basic stitches. Pay close attention to the gauge, and don’t skip the gauge swatch. Use stitch markers to keep track of your progress, and don’t hesitate to frog (undo) stitches if needed to achieve the right fit.

How Much Yarn Does It Take to Crochet a Tank Top?

The amount of yarn needed for a tank top depends on the pattern, size, and yarn weight. On average, you’ll need about 400-600 yards of sport or DK weight yarn for a standard tank top. Always check your pattern for specific yardage requirements and consider purchasing extra yarn to account for any adjustments.

The Story Behind These Two Beach-Style Cover-Ups

    free crochet beach cover up

The Story Behind These Two Beach Cover-Ups

I met Elizabeth through a Facebook group we both belong to, led by our crochet coach, Pam Grice of Crochetpreneur.

Elizabeth had posted in the group and included her location, which happened to be Pensacola. When I saw it, I initially thought she was just visiting. I responded to her message, curious if there was a crochet event happening in Pensacola that I wasn’t aware of. To my surprise, she messaged back and said she actually lived here.

I was beyond excited, and we promised to meet up. A few weeks went by before Elizabeth reached out to schedule a meeting. We finally made plans to meet and get to know each other. During our first meeting, we agreed to collaborate on a project, though we did not decide what it would be.

    crochet beach cover up

At our second meeting, we agreed to create a beach cover-up since we live on the beach and planned to release the project in the summer, making it the perfect seasonal item. We also decided to offer two different styles to give everyone an option to choose their favorite look. We used the same yarn, same stitch, and main color to maintain a cohesive connection between our projects. The only thing different as far as the material is concerned is our accent colors.

I am so happy we did this and came up with these two different beach cover-up designs. They are perfect for beachgoers who want to bask in the sun, take an evening stroll along the shore, or relax by the poolside.

This is my first CAL, and I am beyond excited to share it with the amazing Elizabeth “Biz” Fisher-Mareno, a fellow Pensacolian.

Neither of us had used this yarn before, but we were drawn to its wide selection of colors, allowing us to choose any color we wanted. Since this was a summer project, we also wanted a lighter-weight yarn. We preferred a cotton or bamboo blend and ultimately chose bamboo.

In hindsight, this choice had its challenges. The yarn tended to split with almost every stitch, which made the process more difficult. While the final product is soft and gentle on the skin, the splitting was a bit frustrating.

If you’ve used this yarn and love it or have extra time, you can certainly use it, but be prepared for a longer process compared to using standard yarn. If you’d rather avoid these issues, any DK or weight 3 cotton/bamboo blend yarn will work. For example, I used Lion Brand 24/7 DK yarn for the Summer Crochet Beach Sun Hat that matches this beach cover-up and loved it – no splitting at all. Check out the free sun hat pattern on my blog

Free Crochet Long V-Stitch Cardigan Pattern

When it comes to fashion, there is nothing as versatile and timeless as a cozy crochet cardigan. If you are a crochet enthusiast and love to cozy up, I have a pattern just for you. Introducing my first V-stitch cardigan. This stunning cardigan combines the elegance of a long cardigan with a V-stitch making it a must-have garment in your wardrobe.

The V-stitch is a classic crochet stitch that creates a delicate, airy fabric perfect for garments. The stitch is simple and works up quickly, creating a lovely texture to any project. The cardigan is lightweight and comfortable, ideal for both transitional weather and cozy nights.

Long cardigans are great because of their practicality. The longer length provides extra length and coverage, which is perfect for layering. Whether you are going to the office, going for a casual outing, or relaxing at home, this cardigan has you covered. Pair it with jeans and a simple tee for a relaxed look or dress up with a dress and boots for a more sophisticated look.

    • Measure for sleeve armhole on each side of the back panel and one side of each of the front panels making sure the RS will be on the outside after the parts are sewn together. Use finished measurements for the armhole for each size starting from the shoulder.

    CrochetCardiganpattern

    • With WS facing, sew the sides of the front panels to the sides of the back panel ending where the armhole measurements start.

    • Sew the shoulders together, leaving about 5-6” in between on the back panel for the neck. You will need to measure and divide evenly so that the shoulders are equal in measurements and the front panels fit in the space between the shoulders and the neck. (You can measure the back panel, divide it in half and place a marker at the center, then measure 2.5”-3” on either side of the marker and place markers where to sew to or from.

    • Sew the sleeves to the armhole and then the sleeves together.

    Inspiration

Spring is in the air and so is spring fashion.

I have been promising myself for a while now that I will make myself a sleeveless crochet cardigan. With spring here and summer around the corner, I decided that it was time to add my long-awaited crochet sleeveless cardigan to my wardrobe.

I wanted a simple and easy crochet cardigan that I can layer with either a sleeveless or sleeved garment. I also want spring colors and this green color was perfect with all the greenery around.

Well, this top was really a fulfillment of the promise I made to myself. I have always used store-bought cardigans but for a while, whenever I see a sleeveless cardigan in the store, I will pick it up and then return it to the rack promising to make mine. When I saw the spring approach, I knew I had to make it and use it during this spring and summer.

l am happy my green sleeveless cardigan is done and it’s time to enjoy spring. The pattern worked out faster than I expected and I finished faster than I expected. The pattern is easy and quick to make. Basic stitches are used in the pattern although you will need to know how to make a 4 double crochet cluster.

The pattern comes in 9 different sizes ranging from XS-5X. It is made to fit. If you want positive ease, you can make a size larger than your size or make your size using a hook one size larger than what I used. If you prefer a longer length, add more rows to your preferred length before neck shaping.

This sleeveless cardigan is constructed in three different pieces, back and 2 front pieces. The pieces are then sewn together and then the sleeve ribbing is crocheted on. The front ribbings are crocheted on separately one side at a time and then the neck. ribbing

This cardigan is lightweight making it perfect for spring and summer and possibly fall weather.

If you prefer long sleeveless crochet cardigan then check out the Phyles Long Sleeveless Cardigan or a

.This crochet sleeveless cardigan is part of the Handmade Wardrobe hosted by Susanna of Fosbas Design. There will a new featured pattern from April 9th – April 25th. The featured pattern will be free on the blog of the designer and you will be able to purchase the pattern if you prefer PDF pattern.

Some days will have more than one pattern release, so watch for that.

    Yarn

I used Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton Yarn 100% Cotton 1in Bright Green. This is my first time using this yarn. From the experience of using the yarn, I would say I loved it and would use it again. The yarn is very soft and easy to work with.

The project went faster than I expected. I am looking forward to wearing the cardigan and seeing how it will hold up before I say for sure that I will use yarn again.

You can use your favorite worsted weight 100% cotton yarn.

Otherwise, If you specifically want this yarn and can’t find it, you can substitute with
