Inspiration
Designing and knitting this infinity scarf has been a joy. I have been planning to start incorporating knitting patterns in the crochet patterns for a while. I have not been able to do it, since it seems like I always gravitate towards crochet patterns.
When I saw that the Crochet For Me Bundle had an opinion for Knit For Me Bundle, I signed up for it although I did not have a particular pattern in mind. I knew that if I signed up, I would be forced to make something.
One thing though, I knew I wanted something light. something that I could use most of the year based on where I live.

Yarn
I used Mary Maxim Value 100% Acrylic from Mary Maxim. I have had this yarn for a while now, so I decided to use it for this scarf. I used this yarn to make a pillow cover and loved how soft it turned out, so I thought it would be good for a scarf.
If you are unable to find this yarn, you can use any worsted-weight (4) Acrylic yarn or substitute it with
Red Heart Roll with It, Lion Brand DIYarn, Katia Planet, Bernat Pop, Red Heart With Love, or Caron One Pound

Yarn
For this scarf, I used WeCrochet’s Galileo yarn in Pearl. I had to look around for sometime before I got exactly what I was looking for. Also, pearl color is not readily available as other color of yarns.
I wanted the scarf to be light and airy and have drape to it. So I was going for yarn weight 2 or 3, so when I saw this yarn, I knew that is what I wanted. This is a weight 3 yarn but on the heavier side.
I have not used Galileo yarn before but I love how the scarf turned out. It is perfect for summer evenings and fall and I would use it again
Before I decided on the pattern, I knew I wanted a lace pattern. I wanted to make something I could use in the spring, summer, and fall. I chose a pattern with chains and shells as this gives the scarf the fabric that is suitable for the cool and hot weather. The scarf turned out exactly as I had envisioned. It is soft, light, airy, and flows just as I wanted.
Comparable yarns to Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek DK include Mary Maxim Artist Pallette, Lion Brand Ice Cream and Mandala, Bernat Baby Sport and Baby Sport Sparkle, Hobbi Amigo, Deramores Studio Baby Soft DK, and PaintBox Yarns Baby DK.
