Yarn

I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream 100% Cotton. This is one of my go-to yarns for towels. I love it because of its texture, ability to absorb more water, and variety of colors to choose from.

If unable to find this yarn, you can use any weight 4 100% cotton yarn or any cotton blend yarn.

Weight - 4, worsted weight

Hook Size - 5 mm (US H/8)

With Color A Ch 51

Row 1: sc in 2nd st and each st to end, turn (50).



Row 2: ch 1, sc in first st, *tr in next st, sc in next st, rep from* to last st, sc in last st, turn.



Row 3: ch 1, sc in first st and each st to end, turn.



Row 4: ch 1, sc each in first 2 sts, * tr in next st, sc in next st, rep from * to end, turn.




Row 5:  ch 1, sc in first st and each st to end, turn.




Rows 6-11: With Color B ch 1, sc in first st and each st to end, turn.




Row 12: With Color A, ch 1, sc in first st, *tr in next st, sc in next st, rep from * to last st, sc in last st, turn.




Row 13: ch 1, sc in each st to end, turn.




Rows 14 -17: With Color B, ch 1, sc in first st and each st to end, turn.



Rows 18 - 65: With Color A, rep rows 2-5

Border

With Color A, continue down the opposite side and sc evenly around the towel twice. Sc 3 sts in each corner.  Fasten off and weave in the ends.
