    Inspiration

I love throw or decorative pillows. Whether they have removable pillow covers or not, they always add comfort to your life. I use them as a couch pillow, bed pillow, and in the car, especially when traveling on long trips. I cannot sit on a couch without my pillow. I always have one behind my back, in that, if I don’t have it, I feel so uncomfortable.

With spring and summer around the corner, I wanted to make a pillow cover that will reflect the season. Something bright. I am now all set with this soft and textured toss pillow cover. The pattern is easy and quick to make. You can make this pillow cover to fit or a removable pillow cover with buttons or zipper. I decided to make a pillow cover with buttons as it will be easier to clean and I will be able to change the cover as i want to.

    Yarn

I used Mary Maxim Value 100% Acrylic from Mary Maxim. I had ordered this yarn several years ago to make a baby blanket but I never got to make it. When I decided to make a pillow I look around my stash and my eyes fell on this one. I thought it was a suitable color for spring and summer.

I wanted a textured pillow case so I went with the puff stitch.

If unable to find this yarn you can use substitute yarn which include:

Hobby Lobby’s-Crafter Secret Cotton and I Love This Cotton, Bernat Hand crafter Cotton, and Loops and Threads Cotton Colors.

    Inspiration

Wouldn’t it be nice for life to get back as close to normal as we know it? That thought came to my mind as I started making these towels. I wanted to make something that can help bring life as close to normal as possible especially now that Spring is around the corner and Summer will follow soon. Then it dawned on me. What about picnics? That is one way we can get together outdoors and have a good time while enjoying our favorite foods. I saw the opportunity of us reuniting with our family and friends again. So I decided to make something that can be used in a picnic but also have some significance.

    shades11

The size and shape of these towels makes them perfect for picnics. They are smaller and square shaped, making them more portable and easy to carry. No more worrying about carrying bulky towels. The size makes it easier to add to any bag while the texture helps soak or dry anything that you need done Alternatively, you can customize them to whichever shape and size you want.

Pink signifies love and the different Shades of Pink used represents the different kinds of love we have for each other. All is love but different depending on the parties involved. The love between parents and children is obviously different from that between siblings, cousins, friends and so on. Hence the different Shades of Pink.Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
