This cozy crochet blanket is made with weight 4 yarn and features a simple striped design using two neutral colors. The pattern includes instructions for three sizes: Preemie, Crib, and Toddler.

About the Pattern
The Destiny Easy Striped Crochet Baby Blanket is worked in classic stripes using two neutral colors, making it a versatile, gender-neutral option that’s perfect for donation projects, preemie wards, baby showers, or your own little one.
The clean stripe pattern keeps the stitching simple and relaxing, while the neutral palette means this blanket will fit right in no matter the nursery theme.
Neutral colors are always a favorite choice for baby blankets because they are timeless and versatile. You can choose soft shades such as cream and beige, gray and white, or any other two colors that work beautifully together.
You can follow the color combination used in the original design or make the blanket your own by choosing colors that match your favorite nursery theme.
Because the pattern uses only two colors, you will not have to worry about managing multiple yarn changes throughout the project.
This pattern uses worsted weight (weight 4) yarn, an easy-to-find and budget-friendly choice that also happens to be gentle enough for sensitive newborn skin — a great pick when you’re stitching for preemies.

When designing this blanket, I wanted to create a pattern that would be useful for more than just one stage of childhood.
That is why the Destiny Easy Striped Crochet Baby Blanket is available in three different sizes.
The Preemie size is perfect for tiny babies and can be a wonderful project for those who crochet blankets to donate to hospitals or organizations that support premature babies and their families.
The Crib size is great for everyday use. It can be used in the crib, stroller, nursery, or during quiet cuddle time.
The Toddler size gives you a larger option that your little one can continue to enjoy as they grow. It is perfect for snuggling on the couch, taking along on trips, or adding an extra layer of comfort at bedtime.

Why I Designed This Blanket
Preemie babies and their families often need extra comfort during a hard and uncertain time, and handmade blankets are such a meaningful way to offer warmth, love, and support. I wanted to create a pattern that was beginner-friendly and fast to work up, so more of us can stitch these blankets in bulk for hospitals and charities — without sacrificing a clean, classic look.
